Summary

A bespoke session for people already using AI chat who want the repeated parts of their week to stop being manual. It moves in three steps, from scheduled prompts and agents for repeated tasks, to personalising the tool to your role, to building small working tools with no code involved. You finish able to hand a repeated task to a scheduled prompt or an agent, with a chatbot set up around your own role and a clear sense of where an agent’s usefulness ends.

Course breakdown

Tackling Repeated tasks: from General Chat towards AI Agents

Scheduled prompts and a scheduled web search that arrives without being asked, with a weekly generative AI news digest. How agents work as reusable assistants, shown through a business communication coach and a regulation assistant grounded in the actual regulation. What an agent is, what a connector adds, and a calendar administrator with a live calendar connection.

Personalisation

The six ways to personalise a chatbot, from custom instructions, traits, tone and background to naming and memory, with standardised ticket replies as the use case. When AI should remember something, custom instructions against memory, and a prompt that writes both for you.

AI beyond Chat: build, test, adapt

What building with AI means when there is no code involved, with a job detail page built as a working prototype and an interactive text adventure.

The Honest close

The limitations of large language models, why AI forgets, loses context or needs a stronger set-up, and the rule for public AI: public, anonymised, generic or invented content only.

What you leave with

After the course, you'll be able to:

  1. Hand a repeated task to a scheduled prompt or an agent instead of doing it again
  2. Set a chatbot up around your own role so it stops asking for the same context every time
  3. Judge where an agent's usefulness ends
  4. Prototype a small working tool with no code involved
