Privacy Policy

This is a working draft. Everything in it describing what the website does was checked against the code that builds this site, so it is accurate about the site. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer or by a data protection adviser. Anything nobody has decided yet is marked in the text as [TO BE CONFIRMED], and those points are genuinely open rather than a form of words. Please do not rely on this page until those are settled and somebody qualified has read it.

Who is Responsible for this Website

This website is published at thevoiceofbusiness.eu by the business trading as The Voice of Business. The registered legal entity behind that trading name is The Voice of Slovak Business s.r.o., with its registered office at Zámocká 34, 811 01 Bratislava, Slovakia. The same details are published on the About page.

Privacy enquiries, and requests under the rights set out below, go to support@thevoiceofbusiness.eu. Christopher Plant answers them.

What kind of Website this is

It is a static website. Every page is written out as a finished HTML file before publication and uploaded to the hosting account as a file. There is no application running behind the pages and no database. Nothing you do on the site is processed by any code of ours while you are reading it. The one exception is the enquiry form: pressing send runs a small script of ours on the hosting, described under the next heading.

There are no user accounts. There is nothing to register for, nothing to log into, and no members’ area.

Information you give us

One page has a form. Every other page collects nothing.

/talk-to-us/ carries an enquiry form asking for your name, your email address, your organisation or website, which of the three services the enquiry is about, which course it is about, and your question. Four of those are required; the services and the course are optional.

When you press send on the published site, the page sends what you typed to a small script on the website’s hosting, Websupport. That script turns it into an email and the hosting’s mail server sends it to the business mailbox, support@thevoiceofbusiness.eu. Your email address is set as the address a reply goes to, so we can answer you. What you wrote is then held in that mailbox the way any other email is. The website itself does not store your name, your email address or your message.

To stop the form being used to send floods of messages, it accepts one enquiry an hour from the same internet connection. To count them, the script keeps a short list on the hosting’s server of when each enquiry was sent and a scrambled (hashed) form of the internet address it came from. Nothing you typed is in that list, and entries older than an hour are dropped the next time the list is written.

The review copy of this site, used to check work before publication, posts the same form to its hosting platform instead. That copy is not the public site and is not linked from it.

No page on this site has a sign-up form, a newsletter box or any other field. There is no other form anywhere on the site.

There are search boxes, on the search page and on several listing pages. They work entirely inside your browser: the page downloads this site’s own index file and filters it on your device. What you type is not sent to us and is not stored.

One thing is worth naming rather than leaving out. Some pages in the back catalogue were carried over from the site’s previous WordPress version and still contain that site’s own search box inside their saved text. If you submit it, what you typed is placed in the address of a page on this site. Nothing here reads it or keeps it, but it would appear in whatever access log the hosting company keeps.

Information collected automatically

The published site uses Google Analytics 4 to count how many people read which page. It is loaded from www.googletagmanager.com and configured with the measurement ID G-DRPGK79MSP.

Google’s code stores an identifier in your browser so that it can tell a returning visit from a new one, and reports back to Google information about your visit, typically including the pages you looked at, the approximate location your connection is coming from, and the kind of device and browser you are using. That information goes to Google, who process it on the business’s behalf, and the business sees it as aggregate reports.

Analytics runs only on the live site at thevoiceofbusiness.eu. The review copy of this site, used to check work before it is published, carries no analytics at all.

Since 24 September 2026 none of this happens until you agree to it. The site asks before Google’s code loads, and if you have not agreed, nothing is requested from Google at all. The switches are on Cookie settings and what each one covers is set out on the cookie page.

[TO BE CONFIRMED: the lawful basis recorded for analytics now that consent is asked for. Consent is the obvious answer and is what the site now implements, but the record of that decision belongs with the business and its adviser rather than being asserted here.]

Other companies whose Code runs on this site

Three: Google, as described above, FlowHunt, and Calendly. Each one is listed in full, with what it receives and when, on the Subprocessors page.

None of the three loads until you agree to it. Google’s analytics code runs on every page of the published site once analytics is switched on. FlowHunt’s chat button is on every page, including the review copy, once the chat and booking category is switched on; it was added on 24 September 2026 and is the first third-party JavaScript to run inside this site’s own pages.

Google’s analytics code runs on every page of the published site. Calendly runs on one page only. /book-a-meeting/ shows Calendly’s booking calendar inside a frame pointing at calendly.com, added on 19 September 2026. That calendar is Calendly’s page rather than ours, and it sets its own cookies under their domain when it loads. We cannot read them: a browser keeps one site’s storage away from another’s. It is a frame and not Calendly’s embed script, so none of their JavaScript runs inside this site’s own pages, and visiting any other page on this site loads nothing of theirs at all. Anything you type into that calendar to book a slot goes to Calendly, and what they do with it is covered by their policy rather than this one.

Nothing else is fetched from a third party anywhere on this site. The typefaces, the stylesheets, the images and the search index are all served from this site’s own address, so no font service, no content network, no advertising network, no social media widget and no chat tool sees your visit.

Some pages link out to other organisations’ websites, including professional profiles on LinkedIn. Following one of those links takes you to a site this business does not run, and what happens there is covered by that site’s own policy rather than this one.

What is stored on your device

The site’s own code stores nothing. It sets no cookies and it uses no local storage or session storage in your browser.

The only things stored are what Google’s analytics code stores on every page, and what Calendly’s calendar stores on the booking page. The cookie page describes it and how to refuse it.

How long Information is kept

Records held by the business itself: an enquiry sent from /talk-to-us/ arrives as an ordinary email and is kept in that mailbox for as long as the enquiry is live and for as long afterwards as the business has a reason to keep it. The form’s count of recent enquiries, described above, drops each entry the first time the list is written after that entry is an hour old. Nothing else arises from this website, because nothing else on it collects anything.

Your rights

If the analytics described above amounts to personal data about you, which in most readings it does, then under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to ask what is held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or erased, to object to it being processed, to ask for it to be restricted, and to complain to a supervisory authority.

Those requests go to support@thevoiceofbusiness.eu.

The business is established in Slovakia, so the supervisory authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), at dataprotection.gov.sk. If you live in another EU member state you may complain to your own national authority instead.

Children

This website is aimed at people buying and running training and audits for their organisations. It is not aimed at children, and nothing on it asks anybody their age. The one form on the site asks for a name, an email address, an organisation and a question, and for nothing else.

Changes to this Policy

This page will change when the outstanding points above are settled, and again whenever what the site does changes. It carries no version number yet.
