Summary

A bespoke session for HR teams, built around the questions they actually ask: can AI screen CVs, stop interview questions repeating, send candidate letters or recommend someone’s development. Seven use cases run end to end on real HR work, with ethics and hallucination dealt with early and honestly. You finish with the prompts and set-up to repeat every use case, a map of the HR tools on the market, and a defensible position on screening.

Course breakdown

Foundations, and the Careful part

HR as a data-rich function, an introduction to generative AI, and hallucination: how to make AI quote its source and flag what is missing. Ethics when you are handling people rather than documents, the four parts of an effective prompt, and when AI is worth reaching for at all.

Pattern Recognition

A job description dictated against a previous notice, with an assumptions list to check before it goes out. The three pillars of a chatbot, what a knowledge base is, and interview questions grouped by criterion with a scoring guide, anchored to past sets so they stop repeating.

Personalisation

Custom instructions against memory, one vacancy written four ways for four readers, and personalised candidate letters drafted straight into the mailbox, with the question of how far a tool should go before a person confirms. Projects, role and backstory, and training recommendations grounded in your own learning catalogue.

The market, then Agents

Which chatbot for which job, the HR-specific tools on the market with their weaknesses said out loud, and the kinds of agent that suit HR work. An HR policy assistant that answers only from your policies, quotes its source and refers to a person when the policy is silent, then the same agent escalating by email.

Data Protection, and the Honest ending

What agent building looks like in code, cloud against local hosting, running a model offline and anonymising data live. A closing discussion on CV screening: the risks, the fixes, what the research shows and where the regulation puts the responsibility.

What you leave with

After the course, you'll be able to:

  1. Dictate a job description against a previous notice and check it against a generated assumptions list
  2. Generate interview question sets anchored to a library of previous sets so they stop repeating
  3. Write one vacancy four ways for four different readers
  4. Draft personalised candidate letters from templates loaded once
  5. Ground development recommendations in the organisation's own learning catalogue
  6. Build an HR policy assistant agent that quotes the sentence it used and refers to a person when the policy is silent
  7. Anonymise data locally and hold a defensible position on CV screening
