Until you can build an agent, a notebook with the steps written as its instructions gets you close, or save the prompt in your prompt library and swap the details each time. What is the difference between a Copilot notebook and an Agent?
Very little: notebooks and agents are very similar, and both can still reach everything your Copilot can. The real question is how you want to work. A notebook keeps all its chats and sources together in one place, while agent chats scatter through your chat history.
How do I create a notebook in Copilot?
In Copilot Chat, open Notebooks in the left-hand bar and choose to create a new one. Give it any name and press create. You can skip adding references and start with an empty notebook, then add files, links and instructions later.
Can I change a Copilot notebook's Instructions?
Yes. Open the notebook and rewrite its instructions yourself whenever you want. You do not need a new notebook, and everything else stays as it is. Save the old instructions as a Page first, so you can go back if needed.
